Fly transpacific aboard Northwest Airlines' wide-cabin 747 jetliner.
Day 2: Sunday Arrive Beijing
Arrive in Beijing. China's capital, and check in to the Jinglun Hotel.
Day 3: Monday Beijing AB, L, D
Out to sightseeing imposing Tian An Men Square, and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace with a tour of the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. Afternoon, visit the Summer Palace with a boat ride on Lake Kunming. Then visit the ornate Temple of Heaven.
 
Day 4: Tuesday Beijing AB, L, D
Today, behold and mount the awesome Great Wall. After lunch, pass between statues of warrior and bizarre animals guarding the Sacred Way to visit the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.
 
Day 5: Wendesday Beijing AB
A free day to shop and explore.Or chose our optional tour by pedicab through the Hutong, including a visit to a local family home and a tour of the Drum Tower.
 
Day6: Thursday Beijing to Xi'An AB, L, D
Fly to Xi'an, ancient capital of China, and check in to your deluxe Sheraton Xi'an Hotel. Then out to visit Wild Goose Pagoda.
 
Day 7: Friday Xi'An AB, L, D
View the life-sized terra-cotta warriors, Circle Vision Movie, Bronze Chariot, and renowned Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum.
 
Day 8: Staturday Xi'An to Guilin AB, L, D
Fly on to Guilin, at heart of a magnificent landscape. Check in to the Holiday Inn Guilin. Then off to tour amazing rock formations at Reed Flute Cave and Fu Bo Hill.
 
Day 9: Sunday GUILIN AB, L, D
A cruise on a deluxe air-conditioned boat along the Li River reveals the haunting beauty of Guilin's mist-wrapped monolithic peaks surrounding the river en route to Yangshuo.
 
Day 10: Monday GUILIN to Guangzhou/Hong Kong AB, L
Fly to Guangzhuo for a tour of the Chen Clan Temple and Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall. Take a train or fast catamaran to Hong Kong, where you check in to the Kowloon Hotel.
 
Day 11: Tuesday Hong Kong AB
Breakfast in the hotel. Tour Hong Kong Island's Stanley Market, Repulse Bay, and Aberdeen's floating community. Then up to Victoria Peak to obtain spectacular view of the metropolis and its splendid harbor.
 
Day 12: Wendesday Hong Kong AB
The whole day is free to shop to your heart's delight, or just wander at will.
 
Day 13: Thursday Hong Kong to West coast, U.S.
